Gran Turismo

Gran Turismo is a racing simulation video game developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation. It was released in Japan on December 23, 1997, and in North America and Europe in 1998. The game features 140 cars and 11 tracks, and is notable for its realistic driving physics and graphics. The game's simulation mode requires the player to earn driver's licenses, pay for vehicles, and earn trophies in order to unlock new and returning courses. The game was met with critical acclaim and commercial success, selling over 10 million copies worldwide.
