The Punisher is a 1990 rail shooter video game developed by Beam Software and published by LJN. The game is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The player controls the Punisher from an over-the-shoulder third-person perspective through various New York City locations, shooting thugs and battling supervillains Hitman, Jigsaw, Colonel Kliegg, Sijo Kanaka, and Assassin as bosses. The final boss is the Kingpin. The game features destructible items in its levels and power-ups that can be obtained by shooting them. It was released in 1990 for the NES platform.
