Zero Wing is a 1989 side-scrolling shooter developed by Toaplan. Players control the ZIG space fighter in a battle against the alien cyborg CATS. Known for its unique horizontal gameplay, players navigate through different sections, battling enemy forces and collecting weapon upgrades. The game was published by Namco in Japan and Williams Electronics in North America.
