Giga Wing is a 1999 vertically scrolling shooter arcade game developed by Takumi Corporation and published by Capcom. It was released on their CPS-2 arcade system board and later ported to the Dreamcast console in the same year. The game features a unique horizontally aligned monitor setup, which is rare for a vertical shooter. Players control futuristic aircraft, battling enemy planes, tanks, ships, and buildings using guns, missiles, and limited bombs. The objective is to destroy a powerful medallion. The game offers four playable characters, each with their own storyline. Giga Wing combines intense action, anime-inspired graphics, and a quirky premise to create an entertaining arcade experience.
